The Mayor
Hon. Cenon Binas Volante
“Non” as he is fondly called by his family and close friends, is born from a simple family who hails from Barangay San Roque, Malilipot, Albay. Mayor Cenon is the youngest of six children of Emiteria Biñas-Volante and Magno Bitara Volante. He now resides in Barangay San Jose, Malilipot, Albay with his wife Evelyn and two children – John Mark and Janin.
He started his political career in 2010 as a Municipal Councilor and served for one term before returning to his first profession as a branch manager in a construction company. He then won the mayoralty campaign in 2016, vied for re-election in the year 2019 but was unfortunate, and once again ran and won as mayor in the recent 2021 elections.
Being a civil engineer himself, he envisioned Malilipot as a progressive and well developed municipality through various infrastructure projects that will help alleviate the status of living of every Malilipoteño, especially the farmers and fisher folks in marketing their produce to the general public.
